Would you like a scholarship for further study?
Given the current global circumstances, are you considering options for further study, retraining, and career advancement? We can help.
We are keen to support you in realising this through the launch the Durham University Alumni Fee Scholarship. This Scholarship will contribute part of the cost of tuition fees.

For students who commenced their studies during or after academic year 2018-19 on a postgraduate course, they will continue to be eligible for the existing fee discount they received in previous years.
For alumni who commence a new postgraduate research programme, including MRes, they will be eligible for a 10% fee discount in academic year 2023-24 (and for subsequent years of their course).
The Scholarship is available only for students commencing their programme in 2023-24. While most postgraduate taught programmes last one-year (full-time), students whose programme lasts two years will continue to receive the Scholarship in their second year.
As long as you hold a first degree or higher degree from Durham University and apply for a course that begins within the 2023-24 academic year, you are automatically eligible for this Scholarship - you do not need to apply separately.
Those holding CHE/DHE or postgraduate/CPD credits only will unfortunately not be eligible to receive the Scholarship.
Those who have outstanding financial debt to the University will not be eligible until the debt has been cleared
For the purposes of both schemes, alumni are defined as those who have been awarded a degree qualification by Durham University, and who studied at Durham University (i.e. not a degree conferred by the University for study at another institution). A student in receipt of government loans for study is considered self-funding. The schemes do not apply to students receiving funding for their studies.
If you receive a partial scholarship or bursary from another source, you will still be eligible for the Durham University Alumni Fee Scholarship provided that your self-funded fee contribution is greater than the value of this Scholarship.

In the online enrolment screen, at the question 'Main sponsor contributing to Fee', please select the drop-down option 'Alumni Tuition Fee Discount'. The finance department will then allocate the discount.
If you have already applied or been offered a place on a postgraduate course before you become aware of the Scholarship, you can still receive the discount by notifying the University of your alumni status.
If you send an email including your new (postgraduate) student ID number to studentbilling.query@durham.ac.uk they will consider your application. If eligible, your invoice will be amended to reflect the Scholarship.
If you have already received a scholarship from the Business School for one of their Masters or MBA courses, please email business.pgrecruit@durham.ac.uk for any clarification required.
