Offer-holder Discover Durham Tours

Two students walking

Congratulations on receiving an offer to study here at Durham University!

We're so excited to be holding Discover Durham Tours throughout the Easter school holidays in April. These tours give you an opportunity to visit us here in Durham and explore our University facilities along with our beautiful city.

Book your place here - we can't wait to meet you!

What's a Discover Durham Tour?

The tour begins at one of our undergraduate colleges, where you will receive an introductory talk from a member of college staff, followed by a tour of the college by current students. As our colleges are our students homes it may not always be possible to show you a student room as they may be occupied.

Following your college tour a Durham Student Ambassadors (DSA) will then show you the main University site taking in some of the sights of the city, finishing on Palace Green right by the beautiful Durham Cathedral, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Tours begin at 1.00pm and last approximately two and a half hours.  If you have a particular area you wish to visit please make your DSA aware and if possible they will adapt the tour to take in your area of interest.

Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions document to find out more about our Discover Durham Tours and visiting us here at Durham.Line Break image2

Although individual departments will not be incorporated in our Discover Durham Tours, if you are interested in this we encourage you to please get in contact with our Enquiries Team who will be able to provide you with additional information about a potential additional departmental visit on the day you are here in Durham.
