International Campus Visits

International campus visits are available for students visiting from outside the UK each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday starting at 2pm most weeks of the year. They're a great way to find out more about the University and the city.

What does the visit include?

Visits start with a presentation from a member of staff from the International Office, followed by a guided campus tour.

Guided tours of the university are normally conducted by an International Student Ambassador.  This is your opportunity to get a feel for life on campus and the Durham student experience.  If you have questions regarding admission, entry requirements, or applying to Durham, please get in touch with the Regional Manager or International Officer for your region.

Keeping you safe

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic we may restrict the number of visitors in each group. If your travel plans change and you need to cancel your visit, please do this by following the cancellation options in your booking confirmation email.

If you're attending one of our tours, we'll ask you to wear a mask when inside buildings for the following reasons (unless exempt):

  • It protects those that haven't been vaccinated
  • Transmission is higher in crowded indoor areas, so wearing a mask will protect you and others
  • Out of common courtesy to others who may be feeling anxious

Booking your visit

Guided tours may not be available in August and December due to student ambassador availability. You are still welcome to visit the University and undertake a self-guided tour.

Please complete the form on the sidebar of this page to book a campus visit.  We are unable to arrange departmental or college visits.  You can however, contact our Departments or Colleges directly.
