EDI Senior Learning and Development Officer

Tony studied Biological Sciences (Genetics) at The University of Leicester and obtained a BSc (Hons) in 2019. They worked in the Public Health and Science Sector in their home country where they worked on many projects including a localized vaccination campaign with international contributors.

Tony then made a shift of careers to EDI when they were elected as an Executive Officer and Trustee at Leicester Students Union as they have a passion for Liberation and Social Justice, having been involved in activism for a number of years. Their main responsibilities included delivering training to both staff and students, managing campaigns and budgets, writing the union EDI strategy.

Tony joined the University in June 2021 as a Senior EDI Learning and Development Officer and their portfolio includes design, delivery and evaluation of learning and organisation development interventions for staff and students, analyse EDI data and processes, provide advice to stakeholders with particular reference to EDI, HR policies and procedures.
