At Durham University, we’ve created an extraordinary workplace that’s designed to inspire everyone who works here.

Here, you'll work with exceptional minds, all with the desire to ask, and answer, the biggest questions. You’ll have access to cutting-edge facilities that will enable you to become an active contributor to the global research and university community. And you’ll be part of an international and diverse network of partners spanning the planet’s best research institutions, organisations and businesses.

When we say you’ll have the opportunity to do outstanding things in the world, we mean it.

Discover a welcoming environment

As an academic at Durham, you’ll help create the stimulating environment that supports our students in becoming the best they can be, and you’ll inspire the great minds and leaders of tomorrow.

We’re also working hard to create a friendly and inclusive working environment where you’ll feel welcome, whoever you are and whatever your background. What’s more, being part of Durham is about more than just the success of the University. As we continue to grow, it’s also about contributing to the success of the city, county and community that is Durham itself.
