Principal – Professor Tim Luckhurst
As Principal of South College, Professor Luckhurst has lead responsibility for the development and management of the College, its community of staff, students, and members of the Senior Common Room. He works directly with the other College officers and with the Executive Committee of the Student Common Rooms.
Vice Principal – Lee Worden
As Vice Principal of South College, Lee has responsibility for managing staff and services underpinning student support and wellbeing. He is also involved in induction and student development. As Vice Principal, Lee deputises for the Principal in his absence.
Assistant Principal – Lynn Preston
As Assistant Principal of South College, Lynn leads our work on student support. She promotes pro-active wellbeing and development initiatives within the College. Lynn also works closely with student leaders and the Student Welfare Team.
College Administration Co-ordinator – Yasmin Porter
Yasmin is responsible for administration within College and supports the Principal to enable the delivery of an outstanding student experience. She assists with the admissions process, the delivery of the college development programme, the well-being programme, social and scholarly events, and with SCR matters.
Estates and Facilities Relationship Manager - Lucy McEnaney
Lucy looks after the College’s Buildings and Facilities. Lucy provides a proactive, front-facing, service-focused role to support all aspects of communication and service provision, to ensure the agreed service standards are achieved across the College.
Food and Beverage Service Head - Phil Smith
As Food & Beverage Services Head, Phil manages the Café-Bar and Catering Services for the College. Phil also works closely with the JCR Café-Bar Steward and the Café-Bar committee.
Facilitator (Accommodation and Facilities) - Callum Hornsby
Callum is the first a point of contact for advice on all aspects of living in College. Callum has oversight of the College Residences and implements the College's accommodation policies.
Recption Helpdesk Assistant - Kaitlin Lawson
Kaitlin is the first point of contact when you enter the Pitcairn Building. She is responsible for all front-desk administration, including welcoming students, visitors, and contractors. Kaitlin can assist students and visitors seeking to see members of staff. Kaitlin is also responsible for post and parcels. She is available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm at the Reception Desk.
Finance Team – Emma Allison & Faye Lowe
Emma & Faye provide financial support for South and many other Colleges.
JCR President -Haf Serajee
Haf works with students and College & University staff to support the JCR. Primarily, they works with the JCR Executive Committee to support them in their roles and make sure South succeeds. They can be contacted for enquiries relating to anything South, so please feel free to get in touch, whether you’re a current student with suggestions on how we can make College better, or a prospective student with any questions about College.
College Mascot - Oswald T. Owl
As College mascot, Oswald frequents all of the important events at South, including the College Matriculation Ceremony and formal dinners.
