Easter Term 2025: Launching Evergreen

Evergreen 500x500Designed to enhance your student experience and foster an even stronger, more curious, and more creative community, Evergreen will bring together opportunities for learning, wellbeing, and exploration.

The programme will unite existing activities under a single banner, such as our annual trip to Lindisfarne, while also introducing exciting new opportunities that complement and intersect with the many vibrant student-led initiatives already thriving at Cuth’s.

We will begin our programme with a pilot in June, featuring eight hands-on sessions with gardening and heritage craft expert Ross Pearson. Designed to get you away from your desk and into the great outdoors, these sessions will provide a refreshing break from academic pressures while fostering creativity and connection with nature.

Looking Ahead: Expanding Opportunities

Evergreen is just the beginning. As it evolves, you and future students at St Cuthbert’s will co-design enriching experiences and collaborate with experts across various fields.

Future activities will align with the University’s student development framework, helping you cultivate leadership skills, ethical awareness, empowerment, curiosity, and creativity. Academic enrichment will also be central, featuring lectures, seminars, and subject evenings to support intellectual exploration alongside practical engagement.

I'm excited about the launch of the Evergreen Programme, an exclusive enrichment initiative just for St Cuthbert's Society students. It offers unique opportunities for learning, wellbeing, and personal growth that aren’t available in other colleges.
