Music Practice Room

We have a spacious music practice room at Parson's Field, equipped with drum kits, keyboards, microphones, and amplifiers. It can be used by individuals, as well as groups and music societies, by requesting the key from the porter in Brooks House.

Alumni Support For Cuth’s Music

With huge thanks to Mr. Greg Kyle-Langley (St Cuthbert’s Society 2003-2006) for his ongoing support for music at Cuth’s, we are delighted to announce that Cuth’s will receive a Boston Baby Grand Steinway piano in April 2022. This programme is only possible with the support from alumni and other donors like Greg.

“Having a Steinway in Cuth’s is a huge step toward what I have always hoped to help the Society achieve with my currently modest contributions, & I hope this helps secure that, along with the other instruments from the Steinway programme around the buildings.” Greg Kyle-Langley

“Greg's generosity has been invaluable to Cuth's JCR, saving us from some of the difficulties faced by college musicians in almost every other common room. As Greg notes, the Steinways are just a step towards what collegiate music can achieve, so here's to hoping we can achieve great things with the support of him and others.”  Alfie Whillis (JCR president)
