Kicking up a Storm! Taekwondo BUCS Championship Series

Durham University Taekwondo Club travelled to Cardiff last month, to compete in the last leg of the Taekwondo BUCS Championship Series. Read on for a full performance review.

Mind : 27 27 Challenge

Durham University clubs and teams took part in the Mind 27 27 Challenge; running 27 miles over 27 days, to raise money and awareness for student mental health. Overall, Durham placed 8th out of 257 organisations.

WEHORR 2023

On the 5th of March 2023, Durham University Boat Club (DUBC) attended the prestigious Women’s Eights Head of the River event, on the famous Tideway course. 18 members of the women's squad travelled down south a few days before competing, to train on the Tideway's conditions and practiced racing lines. This event was hoping to tie off a long winters graft and step on after a great BUCS head.

#DUGlobalWeek Spotlight, Jacopo Bertone

Jacopo Bertone, a postgraduate at Durham, has been part of DUBC's more recent successes on the water. His historical performances for both crew rowing in the USA, and representing Italy, stands him in good stead for an excellent showcasing talent for #DUGlobalWeek.

#EmbraceEquity DU Women in Sport

DU Women in Sport are a relatively new club here at Durham, which aims to provide a safe and inclusive environment for women to try new sporting opportunities. The programme provides taster sessions that run throughout the year, covering an array of sports, with tasters each weekend for women from any background, and any experience level.
