Palatinate Scholarships

Palatinate scholarships will be awarded to unsuccessful but 'near-miss' Vice-Chancellor's sport scholarship applicants.

Summary

To be considered for a Palatinate scholarship you MUST have submitted a Vice-Chancellor's sport scholarship application.

Up to £1,000 per academic year

Free University gym membership (worth approximately £150)

This scholarship is available to all applicants, both home and international.

How to apply

  1. Apply for a course

    Submit an academic application to Durham University via UCAS prior to the scholarship deadline for the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships.

  2. Complete a scholarship application

    Submit a scholarship application form for the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships.

     

    Applications accepted from:

    Mid-October 2023

    Application deadline:

    31 January 2024

    When applicants will be notified of the outcome:

    11 March 2024

  3. Selection Process

    • Your performance level, personal statement and references will be considered by a scholarships panel
    • Other sports coaches and colleagues with high-performance sports experience may also be consulted
