The Durham University Badminton Club are a welcoming, determined and successful team at Durham University. The club has three women's teams and three men's teams in the BUCS league. The men's and women's 1st teams are in the Northern Premier Leagues, competing at the highest level in BUCS. Being one of the few clubs that train together as a mixed team, this club has a great social atmosphere with long-lasting friendships created every year between members.

The Badminton Club is proud to promote diversity and inclusivity; the club also has a Development Squad which proves to be very popular amongst students wanting to progress into competition squads. In these sessions, students have the opportunity to be coached by 1st team players in a two-hour weekly session. The club welcome anyone to attend these sessions and team members have regularly been recruited from the development squad to attend team training.

Additional Information:

Durham University have recently completed a £32 million state-of-the-art redevelopment on the Sport and Wellbeing Park. At these top-class facilities, the 1st teams train four times a week; the 2nd teams train three times a week; and the 3rd teams train twice a week. All teams play their BUCS matches on a Wednesday afternoon.
