School of Education annual lecture, in honour and memory of Professor David Galloway will take place on Thursday, 23rd October 2025 at 14:00. The lecture is titled ‘Solving the SEND Crisis’ by Helen Hayes, Member of Parliament and the Chair of the House of Commons Education Select Committee.

Helen Hayes, MP and the Chair of the House of Commons Education Select Committee
We are delighted to welcome and host Helen Hayes, MP and the Chair of the House of Commons Education Select Committee to deliver a lecture on the topic of special educational needs and disabilities. The lecture will draw on the findings from the recent ‘Solving the SEND Crisis’ inquiry by the Education Select Committee, and it will be followed by a panel discussion considering the implications for the North East England.
