Shaped from over 50 years’ experience working with regional, national and international private and public sector clients, our progressive education delivers immediate results for individuals and organisations. Flexible and consistent in quality, you’ll find a course to suit your needs, whatever your sector or location.

We offer a wide range of training, from short non-accredited masterclasses, accredited in-house training that counts towards nationally recognised qualifications, to working with you to developing new degree apprenticeship standards, our bespoke learning packages are specifically tailored to meet the needs of your organisation.

Teaching and Learning in International Contexts

Theory and practice 2024-25 (Start date: 18 November 2024)

A post graduate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunity designed for teachers in international schools or other international contexts. Join a dynamic international group of teachers at a first-class research-active Education Department at Durham University for a 5-day online conference focusing on critical understandings of models of teaching and learning in an internationalised context and their theoretical underpinnings.

Science Engagement and Teacher Support

The Science Engagement team offer a range of exciting free engaging activities, workshops and school talks that support and enhance the curriculum for both primary and secondary school students. We also create original and relevant teaching resources based upon our research and use this material in workshops as part of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses and training support sessions for teachers. We are keen to collaborate with teachers to develop activities that best suit the needs of the individual school.

As well as bespoke programmes and network sessions (including coordination of the Durham Primary Science Network for Durham County Council). We run specialist events on campus in Durham.

Scholars for Outstanding Undergraduate Talent (SCOUT)

We are delighted to be working in partnership with the British Council and the state of Tamil Nadu to support this excellent initiative and provide an experience of international education.

Our bespoke programme focuses on data science and artificial intelligence. In an era where data is the new gold, understanding how to extract insights and make predictions using data science and AI is more crucial than ever. The programme is crafted to meet the needs of beginners and intermediate learners alike, offering 24 hours of flexible online learning. Through interactive materials, students have the opportunity to explore the foundational knowledge of these innovative areas.

Whether they're looking to build foundational knowledge, enhance practical skills, or explore the fascinating applications of AI, the programme offers an engaging pathway to mastering the essentials and beyond.

Working in collaborate with our existing future teachers, recent education graduates, local schools and councils, we are creating a network of support and CPD opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of staff across the North East at both primary and secondary level education.
