The Network organises conferences, seminars, workshops and funding calls in order to advance the knowledge and understanding of hydrogen fuelled transportation. This webinar is the next in our series of seminars featuring speakers from industry and academia exploring the pathways to sustainable hydrogen production and supply.

We welcome two speakers to present the views on Hydrogen storage and Transportation challenges

Professor Gavin Walker, University of Nottingham will present findings from his research on Hydrogen systems in particular hydrogen storage technology.

Gavin is the The Sir Harry and Lady Djanogly Chair in Sustainable Energy, Faculty of Engineering at the University of Nottingham. He has previously been a partner in the UK Research Councils' Supergen hydrogen consortium UKSHEC, is involved in EU FP6 projects (Hytrain and HyCones) and is a UK expert for the International Energy Agency's Tasks 17 and 22 (both on hydrogen storage materials).

Fiona Landy, Delivery Manager, Hydrogen Accelerator "Accelerating Hydrogen Transportation"

Fiona has been leading on the Scottish Cities Alliance’s Hydrogen Strategy – ‘Kick Starting a Hydrogen Economy across Scottish Cities’, for the last 6 years and led on the FCH-JU JIVE/JIVE2 submissions that Aberdeen and Dundee City Councils are partners in. She is also supporting Glasgow City Council with their decarbonisation of heavy fleet vehicles from the launch of their fleet strategy utilising hydrogen technologies. Fiona has been seconded for the last 6 months to Transport Scotland’s Low Carbon Economy Directorate to accelerate hydrogen activities across the public sector.
