woman's facePetra Minnerop is Associate Professor of International Law at Durham University, Durham Law School. She is the Academic Lead for COP 26 of Durham University, Co-Director of the Global Policy Institute (GPI), a fellow of the Durham Energy Institute (DEI), the Centre for Ethics in Law and the Life Sciences (CELLS) and the Institute for Hazard, Risk and Resilience (IHRR). She serves on the editorial board of the book series Global Energy Law and Policy (Hart publishing) and she is a member of the World Commission on Environmental Law (IUCN-WCEL). Her scholarship encompasses international, transnational and national dimensions of climate change and environmental law, as well as interdisciplinary aspects of the law/science relationship and the process of law-making at the international level. She is the author or co-author of several books and articles on climate change and international law, and has spoken at many international conferences. She is the founding Director of IRAB (www.irab.co.uk), an international research advisory board that spans a North-South collaborative network of leading climate experts from different disciplines, and academia as well as non-academic partner organisations.
