This is an exciting opportunity to understand and become involved in the legacy process following the judicial work of attempting to provide closure to the terror regime of the Khmer Rouge from 1975 - 1979.
This internship is open to students with any legal specialisation as the legacy and forward-looking reform process needs to address all fields of law and policy. Naturally, the initial aim of the ECCC will speak in particular to students interested in international criminal law, human rights law, and transitional justice, to name but a few.
Professor Michael Bohlander, who is the International Co-Investigating Judge at the ECCC, will give an introduction to the internship, the application process, some tips on what to expect in practice when living in Phnom Penh, and answer questions.
