Two UK flags hanging from a building

Members of Parliament have recently discussed the Life in the UK test, and have noted many of Professor Thom Brooks' findings and recommendations on this topic.

In November, Members of Parliament discussed the Life in the UK test. MPs noted the findings of Durham Law School’s Professor Thom Brooks that the test was “like a bad pub quiz” and that recommendations by Brooks to the House of Lords Justice and Home Affairs Committee, which accepted his advocating an inquiry into the Life in the UK test and published its report a year ago. Many of its recommendations support those made in Brooks’s work. The government has agreed on the need for reform and considering the recommendations.
