Successful "Introduction to Law" workshop with Durham Law School and Slaughter and May
12 March saw students from Sedgefield Community College and Durham Sixth Form Centre, visit Durham Law School for a half-day “Introduction to Law” workshop, thanks to support from Slaughter and May.
As well as a session on how to approach case law and looking at the reasoning in a number of cases, and a negotiation exercise devised by Slaughter and May, pupils explored life at University with current Durham Law students – Holly, Hermione and Devina. Students commented, ”This has been invaluable in giving an insight into life at university and in law” and “Very well presented and engaging. The speakers were all very approachable and friendly”. Thank you for spending time with us in Durham Law School, Sedgefield Community College and Durham Sixth Form Centre!
