This seminar will take place via Zoom on Monday 21st November 16.00-17.00. The seminar will be given by Dr Anastasia Chamberlen, University of Warwick

 

Biography

Ana Chamberlen is Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology, University of Warwick. She is prison sociologist, and her work covers themes such as the lived experiences of imprisonment; embodied and gendered punishment; vulnerabilities in criminal justice; the relationship between emotions and the motivation to punish. Most recently, her work has moved to explore the role of the arts in expressing state violence and punishment.
