About Us

Durham’s Institute of Advanced Study (IAS) is a home for growing big ideas. We support a broad and inclusive interdisciplinary community from across Durham University, where different perspectives are brought together to develop creative approaches to interesting and important problems.

We support innovative interdisciplinary research at Durham University through provision of time, space and the resources to build long-term international collaborations. We host a broad international fellowship working with our research projects, as well as a range of other opportunities for researchers at Durham and across the world to come together.
