Network-H2 is organising a Special Issue to be published by the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy and in addition, contributors will have the opportunity to give an oral presentation of their research during online academic conference between 20th and 22nd September 2022. We are now inviting submission of research paper abstracts within the scope of the above challenge themes and any other relevant topics. Deadline for submission is 25th February 2022

The Research Network for Hydrogen Fuelled Transportation (Network-H2) is funded by the Research Council UK Energy Programme and is led by Professor Tony Roskilly, Chair of Energy Futures and Director of Durham Energy Institute. Network-H2 aims to lead research across the marine, on-road, rail and aviation sectors in advancing the development and implementation of the hydrogen-enabled transportation.

Network-H2 focuses on eight cross-cutting hydrogen transportation related themes.

  1. The whole transport/energy system
  2. Pathways to sustainable hydrogen production and distribution
  3. Compact and lightweight on-board storage
  4. Compact and lightweight hydrogen energy conversion devices
  5. Lightweight electrified powertrains
  6. Hydrogen compatible materials and safety
  7. Multi-modal transport, logistics and autonomy.
  8. Policy, economics and societal impacts

Network-H2 is organising a Special Issue to be published by the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy and in addition, contributors will have the opportunity to give an oral presentation of their research during online academic conference between 20th and 22nd September 2022.  We are now inviting submission of research paper abstracts within the scope of the above challenge themes and any other relevant topics. Up to 20 papers will be selected for inclusion in the Special Issue and the authors will be asked to complete and submit full research manuscript for peer review.   

By submitting a manuscript for consideration, authors agree to (i) prepare a full-length conference manuscript by 8th April 2022 and commit to deliver an oral presentation during the Network-H2 Conference programme between the 20th and 22nd September 2022, if the submission is accepted. 

Please confirm interest in submitting an abstract now. The 200-word abstract with a provisional manuscript title should be submitted before Friday 25th February via email to Jacki.Bell@durham.ac.uk
