Dr Bhim Kumar Dahal [21 July - 4 August]
Dr Bhim Kumar Dahal visited the IHRR for two weeks in July 2023 to collaborate with Dr Ellen Robson and Prof. David Toll on the development of road cut slope design guidelines for Nepal.
Dr Bhim Kumar Dahal is an assistant professor in Geotechnical Engineering at the Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, in Kathmandu, Nepal. Dr Dahal's research specialises in soil improvement techniques, landslide monitoring and mitigation, and road design and construction. He attained his PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China in 2018. Prior to working in academia, Dr Dahal worked in industry in the planning and management of construction and maintenance activities related to rural roads, irrigation systems, buildings, and water supply.
