Objectives

  1. help members develop and improve their work.
  2. provide a collegial environment of mutual advice and support.
  3. expose membership to new and interesting ideas.
  4. assist members in funding capture.
  5. assist members in attracting PhD students and help current and past research students to succeed in academia and beyond.
  6. promote members work within and beyond academia.
  7. continue to engage with historically marginalised perspectives, alternative framings of research problems, and innovative methodologies, along with voices critical of more dominant framings, problems, and methodologies.
  8. ensure research activities are accessible to everyone including those with caring responsibilities.
