Over the last decades, studies of nineteenth century Spanish art have experienced an important development. As a nearly centenary institution, the history of the National Museum of Romanticism (Madrid, Spain) reflects the evolution of the art historiography and reveals, at the same time, how everyday life was in that period.
Dr Carolina Miguel Arroyo is the Director of the National Museum of Romanticism in Madrid.
