We are very fortunate that our University resides in the uniquely beautiful city, county and community of Durham.

Our University estate includes part of the Castle and Cathedral UNESCO World Heritage Site. The University maintains numerous Grade 1 and Grade 2 Listed buildings and two Scheduled Ancient Monuments. Our university is also home to a number of state-of-the-art facilities which enable us to produce ground-breaking research and deliver a world-leading education.
