Pre-Sessional Accommodation

Congratulations on securing a place on one of our pre-sessional programmes!

Please ensure you read the below information in full so you are aware of the next steps.

Now you have a confirmed place on a pre-sessional language course, please ensure you complete the below application to apply for College accommodation.

Following submission of your pre-sessional accommodation application, you will be contacted by one of our Colleges who support the pre-sessional programmes to confirm a college allocation. This will be for membership and accommodation from Josephine Butler College.

You will then receive an accommodation offer Licence Agreement. This will include all relevant details of the college accommodation we are providing to you including the total residence charge and dates.

If you wish to secure college accommodation for the pre-sessional programme you must pay for the accommodation in full, and by the deadline date that will be provided within the accommodation offer. Details of how to pay the accommodation charges will also be provided within the accommodation offer. If you have not paid in full, staff will not be able to issue your room key, so you must make sure that you have paid before you arrive in Durham. If you experience any difficulties with payment then please contact the Finance team directly at credit.control@durham.ac.uk

If you have any queries regarding the application for pre-sessional accommodation please contact the Accommodation and Allocations Office at accommodation.office@durham.ac.uk

Under no circumstances should you accept an offer of college accommodation from anyone other than directly from one of our Colleges themselves.

Should a student contact you about subletting their room in College then please contact us immediately to inform us of this. If you are unsure about leasing a room please contact us to make enquiries before making any confirmation payments.
