Hild Bede: A brilliant today and bright future

You may have heard that we have plans to refresh, refurbish and redevelop our wonderful College. We are delighted to share the plan for the next few years so that you can make a fully informed choice about joining our College community.

• In the Autumn of 2024, and after all students have left residence for the summer, we plan to move to a single City Centre site, at Rushford Court ( five minutes from the railway station and still within easy reach of the city centre) with brand new facilities. This will be our home while Hild Bede Riverside site is refurbished and redeveloped.

• We hope to move back in two to three years to a fully updated College built around our historic Hild and Bede buildings, listed Chapel and library, bar and Common Rooms. 

• Please be assured that when you join us at Hild Bede, you join a whole college community. This will continue throughout these exciting developments as we continue to provide a full student experience, as well as the opportunity to be part of the most exciting College project in the University.
