Catering Assistant (TTO)

St John’s College is inviting applications for the post of Catering Assistant for term time only and Catering Assistant for term time only. The Catering Assistants works as part of a cohesive 'front of house' team that ensures an excellent and professional standard of food service is consistently provided to students, staff, visitors and conference guests.

Chef Manager

Responsible for: 

Ensuring that staff, students and guests receive a courteous, friendly and efficient catering service at all times. Working alongside Catering Assistants, Catering Shift Supervisors and Kitchen Assistants.

Grade (St John’s College Graded Pay Scale) 

Grade 1

Salary range: 

£10.75 per hour

Working arrangements: 

17:00-20:00, 4 days a week during term time (Weds, Thurs, Fri, Sat)


Holidays are paid in additional to the hourly rate, calculated to equate to the full time equivalent of 27 days per year + statutory holidays + University customary days.

HR Manager

St John's College is inviting applicants for the post of HR Manager. 

The HR Manager will work as part of the Finance and Operations Directorate, to provide HR support across the College. They will work with the Finance and Operations Director, College Officers and middle managers to ensure that best HR practices are followed. They will lead on embedding a culture focused on staff training and development.

Substantive, part-time, 0.5 WTE (17.5 hours per week)

Flexible working is possible with the role with a greater proportion of time worked during University term time
