Ralph Waggett MA Studentship in History

The Department of History is pleased to announce the Ralph Waggett MA Studentship as an addition to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities’ postgraduate bursaries and scholarships for 2021-22. This studentship is shared with Durham Law School, and will therefore be offered by the History Department every other year. The Department recognises that Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities are under-represented in our student body and in academia more generally, and we are proactively seeking ways to support students who self-identify as from such communities in their academic careers. To help address this under-representation, the Department therefore encourages applications to the Ralph Waggett MA Studentship from any student planning to enter the History Department's MA History programme who self-identifies as belonging to a Black or Asian ethnic group, as of mixed heritage, or otherwise as of a BAME background.

Applications for academic year 2021-22 are now closed. The scholarship will next be offered for academic year 2023-24.
