The CMA is participating in the Government Legal Service (GLS) Legal Trainee Scheme. The talk covers the opportunities offered under this scheme as well as the CMA’s Legal Intern programme.

Sarah Hort
Sarah is a Principal Case Officer at the Competition & Markets Authority (CMA), based in Edinburgh, where she specialises in cartel investigations. Sarah began her career as a lawyer at Ashurst in Sydney, before joining the Cartels branch of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
Connie Hurton
Connie is a Case Officer on the CMA’s Delivery Graduate Scheme. She is currently working in the Cartels team for her first placement. Prior to joining the CMA, Connie worked as an academic researcher on a project that aimed to develop a risk assessment model for repeat self-harm and suicide in prison. She graduated from Oxford University in 2021, having studied the BA Jurisprudence and MSc Criminology and Criminal Justice.
