Spanish Translation

This module is open to students who are also taking Spanish Language 4. You should have reached a very good level of competence in Spanish at the end of year 2, and spent at least four months in a Spanish-speaking country in year 3. The aim is to develop advanced skills of translation from and into Spanish and a theoretical understanding of the processes of translation. Teaching consists of highly participative practical classes complemented by lectures and seminars focusing on key translation principles and strategies. Learning is supported by regular formative assignments.
