Korean is an important language in the context of international business and is spoken by more than 80 million native speakers worldwide. South Korea was the 6th largest exporter in the world in 2010, and one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia. Significant investment in the UK economy has been seen from Korean companies including Samsung and Hyundai-Kia.
Durham University will launch a new credit-bearing course in Korean at Beginners level to students in October 2016.
We also teach Korean from the perspective of translation, as an evening class and for business purposes to those outside the University. Business courses are usually laid on according to demand. Please contact us with any interest in learning Korean.
