Through a series of short online lectures and a final practical exercise, the course explores the relevance of borders and looks at land and maritime boundary disputes, before covering methods available for dispute resolution.

In this seminar for the International Scholars of the History of Women Religious Association, Annalaura Turiano of the Université Gustave Eiffel, France, gives a talk on 'Italian missionaries in Egypt and Syria (1890–1940): gender, education and the making of an informal empire’.
This International Workshop starts from the assumption that to draw meaningful recommendations for managing displacement caused by war, such as in the case of contemporary Ukraine, it is necessary to examine regional historical roots and processes that led to it, as well as to draw on other examples of displacement, historical as well as contemporary, and the solutions that have been offered.
