Risk Masters Careers Event

The Risk Masters Programme has been running within the Geography Department since 2010 in collaboration with the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience. We offer both an MA and an MSc in Risk with specialist pathways in ‘Environmental Hazards’, ‘Climate, Risk and Society’ and ‘Security and Politics’. Our Risk Masters alumni have found careers in Risk very rewarding and varied.

Come and hear some of our alumni talk about their careers in Risk and get inspired!

The purpose of this event is to enable our current Risk Masters students to explore career opportunities relevant to their field of study and demonstrate how the skills learned on the course can be put into practice. However, if you are an undergraduate thinking about pursuing a Masters in Risk, then why not come along and hear more about where our Risk Masters can take you?

Our speakers will talk about their own careers in risk so far. There is also an opportunity to ask questions. Although the event is career, rather than recruitment focused, it is also an opportunity to find out more about the organisations our alumni work for. The event is open to all (please register prior to the event) and will be followed by a networking event (open to our current Risk Masters students only).
