The IHRR presents the Exploring Risk Film Festival on the 4th May 2022. The Festival is a celebration of science, story-telling and how to believe in a better world. The festival asks filmmakers to consider hazards to human life, society and wellbeing and how we might imagine a just, safe and sustainable future.

Carly Beckerman, Co-Director in the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience (IHRR), discusses the book Studies of Contemporary Chronopolitics with it's authors Elisabeth Kirtsoglou, Bob Simpson and Felix Ringel.

In the lead up to COP26 in Glasgow colleagues from across Durham are taking part in a series of events discussing the research within the university and beyond on the various COP26 themes. In May IHRR, the Business School and DEO will showcase Climate Fianance which is one of the themes for the COP this year. We will use this time to talk about the relationship between various aspects of finance and the climate crisis.
