Professor A.S.M. Maksud Kamal, Pro-Vice Chancellor Education, Dhaka University, visited the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience (IHRR) at Durham University on 8-9 March 2023.
Professor A.S.M. Maksud Kamal founded Dhaka University's Department of Disaster Science & Climate Resilience. On 8 March 2023 he gave a two-hour session to Durham University staff and students on 'Fixing our Climate: The Bangladesh Perspective'. On the same day, the IHRR Director Professor Bruce Malamud and senior members from Durham University's Business School met with him to discuss future collaborations. This was followed on 9 March with a visit by Professor Kamal to the IHRR, and further discussions with Bruce.
