Conversation topic: Methods for Making Research Impactful & Actionable, 22nd October 2025, 1130-1300
Making research impactful and actionable is a key goal for many academics, policymakers and practitioners, especially when aiming to influence policy, practice, or public understanding. So when we talk about doing research that ‘makes a difference’ what does that actually mean in practice? In this session, we’ll explore some practical ways to make your research not just publishable, but genuinely impactful and useful beyond academia. Please come along to share your experiences and/or ask questions about your research.
All PGR/PGT students and DU staff welcome!
