NHS North East & Yorkshire Regional Research Workshop Virtual Event │3 November 2021 │ 09:00 to 13:00

As a region we made a significant contribution to COVID-19-related research, improving patient outcomes and saving lives. The NHS North East and Yorkshire want to build on the excellent research that takes place in the North East & Yorkshire region.

The NHS North East and Yorkshire want to build on the excellent research that takes place in the North East & Yorkshire region, share the learning and support the development and expansion of research across all health and care settings and specialities.  They also want to explore how research can inform and support  Integrated Care System (ICS) in delivering health and care priorities for people in our region. They are therefore delighted to invite you to the first virtual Regional Research Workshop on 3 November at 09:00-13:00; please hold the date in your diary and follow the registration link below.

 

The workshop is an opportunity to bring NHS and research communities together to explore how we can better embed and capitalise upon research in the region to drive improvements in:

 

  • health outcomes, and experience of care
  • serving our diverse population and reducing health inequalities
  • staff recruitment and retention through engagement with research

 

The NHS North East and Yorkshire anticipate that over 100 colleagues from organisations across the North East and Yorkshire region will attend the workshop, including those with the ability to influence high level strategic and operational change in health and care delivery and research, those currently overseeing or engaged in research activities, and others who champion improvements to health and care services.  We encourage you to register at your earliest convenience, as numbers at some sessions may be limited.

 

The outcomes from the workshop discussions around priorities, barriers and enablers for health research within the region will be synthesised into a report which will include strategic and operational actions for regional and national sector leaders to consider.
