Previous Disciplinary Notices

Friday 10 September 2021

We would like to update our community on a recent case that was considered by Senate Discipline Committee.

One student committed a serious breach of Covid-19 regulations. They received sanctions relating to College-based activities and weekly community service for a year.

Our University community is based on respect and care for one another and for the local residents with whom we share our city.

At the time of the case, Government restrictions were in place to help control the spread of Covid-19. If a student breaks Government or University regulations, we take swift action.

Although Government restrictions have changed since this incident, we continue to take a proactive approach to managing cases of Covid-19 within our community and the health and safety measures we have implemented on campus, working with Durham County Council Public Health Team and local partners. We follow UK Government guidance for higher education providers and take additional measures to protect our community.
