Yury Arzhanov is a lecturer at the university of Salzburg, and Research assistant in the ERC-project “Transmission of Classical Scientific and Philosophical Literature from Greek into Syriac and Arabic” (Austrian Academy of Sciences and Ruhr University of Bochum). His research interests include the relationships between Syriac and Greek literature, and he has published extensively on Greek philosophy in Syriac contexts.
