Dr Alexis Radisoglou, Associate Professor in German, will deliver a keynote lecture on the occasion of the launch of a new 'Centre for Worlding Modern Languages' at the University of Bristol.
We are delighted to announce that Dr Alexis Radisoglou, Associate Professor in German at Durham University’s School of Modern Languages and Cultures (MLAC), has been invited to deliver the keynote lecture at the launch of a major new research initiative at the University of Bristol.
On Monday 20 October, the University of Bristol’s School of Modern Languages will formally launch its Centre for Worlding Modern Languages, a new research centre dedicated to rethinking the role of modern languages in a global context.
Dr Radisoglou’s keynote lecture, titled"After the Globe: German Literature, the Impasse of Anti-Globalism, and the Horizon of Post-Globality,"will explore how contemporary German literature responds to the shifting political and cultural dynamics of globalism and post-globalism.
