Italian Language 2A

This course is for students who have studied the module Italian 1A (ITAL1071) in their first year. It aims to further improve written and oral communication and further develop your skills both in listening and critical reading and analysis. By the end of the course you will have advanced your abilities in discursive writing and gained knowledge of and practice in skills for work and university placements during the year abroad.

You will develop your ability to read and research in Italian and further your knowledge of Italian culture through guided and independent study. Your high level of written and spoken language will be consolidated throughout the course.

Year Abroad

During the second year students will be introduced to a range of topics and skills that will be directly relevant to their preparation for their year abroad.

Texts studied are likely to include:

  • Ricci, M. Via della Grammatica. Teoria, esercizi, test e materiale autentico per stranieri. Livello elementare - intermedio (A1-B2). Edilingua
  • Eserciziario 2A, online departmental booklet available on DUO

The most suitable dictionary is the Oxford-Paravia Italian English Dictionary
