This module extends learning in the visual arts and enhances presentation and professional skills through the development of an exhibition project. Working together in small groups students choose a critical theme or issue for exploration and then design and produce an online art exhibition based on that. Module content includes a taught programme led by academics and museum curators. We consider the history, nature and design of exhibitions, the ways in which exhibitions present arguments, the specifics of online exhibitions, issues related to interpretation as well as other topics germane to exhibition organisation.  Group work and group assessment are central to this module and all students are expected to contribute fully throughout the academic year to the design and delivery of their group’s exhibition.
