We are ranked 51-100 globally and 9th in the UK in the prestigious QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023.

The rankings, announced in March 2023 assessed over 18,300 subjects from 1,597 institutions across the world, based on academic and employer reputation, citations per academic paper, impact and quality of research and international research collaboration factors.

Our School of Government and International Affairs (SGIA) is ranked 7th in the UK for Politics in the Complete University Guide 2023.   We are a research-intensive department and we use innovative teaching techniques to ensure we combine our latest world-leading research into the programmes we deliver.
