We have tried wherever possible to keep all incoming students in their allocated college and to minimise the number of students we must reallocate. However, we have a limited number of spaces in each college and because of the unprecedented success of students this year, we have had to make the difficult decision to reallocate some students.
We recognise that for some students, we are breaking a commitment that was made to them. As a result, any student asked to reallocate will be awarded a bursary of £500 on arrival in the Autumn term 2021.
If a student has been reallocated to a college that is not suitable for them as a result of a disability, they can pursue the process for reallocation on medical grounds by contacting the college they are currently allocated to in the first instance.
The reallocation process has been conducted in the fairest way possible, in line with the principles that were outlined to all unconditional firm offer holders in a direct email dated 19 August 2021.
We understand that some students may be disappointed to have been reallocated, but all students will receive an excellent student experience, whichever college they become a member of.
We look forward to welcoming our new student cohort in the coming weeks.
