Computational Musicology
What is computational musicology and what can the approach accomplish? This event sees colleagues from the Music Department, Computer Science and Anthropology discuss the concepts associated with this field of study.
The session provides a short tutorial into the basic concepts, gives examples of digital history of music, corpus studies, computational modelling and machine learning. The purpose is to invite discussions of research interests and connect the existing research themes that exist in Departments of Music, Computer Science and Anthropology. The session is led by Tuomas Eerola, Eamonn Bell and Robert Lieck.
