Van Mildert Association

Alumni are also invited to join the Van Mildert Association.

Joining provides a lifetime membership of the Van Mildert Association (VMA); the alumni association of Van Mildert College. The association offers current students access to a network of alumni who provide careers mentorship and support engagement with College life through the provision of vital scholarships and bursaries. Alongside this the association organises reunion events for current and former students throughout the year across the UK and overseas. It has a membership of many thousands of former students many of whom remain in contact with the College long after graduation. The VMA is an independent organisation to which membership fees will be transferred.

Van Mildert College Trust

Our aim is to promote the academic, cultural, social and material welfare of Van Mildert College.

Van Mildert College Trust was established in 2007 with the aim of supporting excellence in all areas of College life, with a particular focus on promoting the energy and talent of our students.

The Trust has four key themes: enhancing research, promoting learning, facilitating career building and enabling cultural enrichment.

The Trust supports PhD scholarships which provide funding for a three-year period and cover tuition fees, accommodation costs, living expenses and some research costs.

It also hosts an annual lecture.  Recent lecturers have included Lord George Robertson, former Secretary General of NATO, and HH Anuja Dhir, the first non-white person appointed to the High Court.

The Trust has made significant contributions to enhancing college facilities, developing an Anniversary Garden in 2015 and contributing to the renovation of the college library in 2023.
