Durham University Isotope Laboratory have been providing commercial services in isotopes for over 10 years. Our pioneering isotope experts and world class facilities are here to service your needs.
We can identify unknown materials and quantify them, providing you with the data you need to help interpret the role of artefacts or groups of artefacts within their archaeological context.
Our Digital Visualisation Lab supports research, teaching, and commercial activities with a broad variety of digital methods and techniques.
The Durham Luminescence dating laboratory undertakes dating of coarse or fine-grained Quartz and K-feldspars from sediment, pottery, ceramics, bricks, mortar, etc. at the multi-grain and single-grain levels.
We specialise in the conservation of archaeological artefacts, objects from museum collections, as well as research and analysis of artefacts using a wide variety of scientific techniques.
