Professor Mike Higton (Primary Investigator) is Professor in the Department of Theology and Religion at Durham University. He provides academic leadership for the University's validation of the Common Awards in Theology, Ministry and Mission offered in colleges and courses around the country, and for developing collaborative research projects that bring together people from the church and university sectors to discuss the future of theological education.
Dr Nina Kurlberg is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Theological Education. Before moving to Durham University, she worked for Tearfund, developing organisational theology on equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) as part of a global team of theologians spanning different countries, cultures, and languages. Her latest book is titled Institutional Logics within Faith-Based Aid (Routledge 2024).
Dr Olabisi Obamakin is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Theological Education and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA). As a Nigerian/British New Testament biblical scholar, she has a special interest in decolonial research methodologies. Her latest upcoming article is entitled "Yoruba Girl Dancing: A Nigerian/British Women's Reading of Herodias’s Daughter in Mark 6:17-28 and Matthew 14:3-12," HBTH 47.1 (2025).
