Global Opportunities is the home of Durham's study, work and volunteer abroad options. Each year in October the University runs a Global Opportunities Fair for students to find out more. On the virual day we run three types of live event.

  • General GO Information talks with the International Office. These consist of a short presentation followed by a Q&A session. The sessions will run and repeat throughout the week - so don't worry if you miss the first one!
  • Studying in... a number of Durham's partners have been invited to talk students about their university / country. We have grouped them into regions, so as to work across timezones.
  • Specific Sessions. These extra one-off sessions are being run for information on work placements, internships and languages.

The sessions are not being recorded, however, we will try to upload any slides to this page after the event for students to revisit.

What's on:

The 2023 Global Opportunities Fair will be held on the 18th & 19th of October. The event will include presentations from the GO team, international partner universities and professional support staff from relevant departments within Durham. Further details will be published below closer to the event, as the schedule becomes confirmed.
